Bright Starts Around We Go Activity Station Doodle Bugs

Excellent for a small child but easy to be dragged by my 6 1/2 month old.3

I bought this for my son when he was 5 months old. It was relatively easy to put together and he loves the toys and loves running around the base. At first his feet barely touched the floor while sitting in it and he could barely get around the base. Now that he's 6 1/2 months old he's running around the base. He's not a big kid ... average for his height and below average for weight. He weighs 14 lbs. He's skinny and wiry. Now when I put him in the seat he's dragging the whole unit across my floor. I thought it would be heavy enough to stay put. Even when I put the lock on the seat he's able to drag it around the room. The rubber bumpers don't help. He pulls it across my tiled kitchen floor as well as my living room rug. If I want to continue using this I'll need to figure out a way to weigh it down. The column is hollow so I may try taking it apart and putting something heavy inside. Other than that I like the idea of this product and the toys are great.More detail ...

Evenflo ExerSaucer SmartSteps - ABC

See My Photos Above for Close Up Pictures4

We were familiar with the evenflo exersaucer product before we purchased this one. We had an older model for our other children. We decided to upgrade to a new model when my parents wanted one to keep at their house for babysitting.

We narrowed our choice down between this one and the 3 in1 pond design. These two appealed to us because of the electronic activities on both seemed to be fun activities. We ended up going with this one not only because it was a little less expensive but because we liked the ABC theme.

These exersaucers come in a box that measures approx 30x30x10 inches. You must assemble everything. The detailed instructions that come with it make it pretty easy. It took two of us approximately 20 minutes to assemble. You start with the base and legs and work your way up. There are about 30 different parts to the complete kit.

The one small complaint I have about the exersaucer is the fact that the four electronic items each require 3AAA batteries to operate. That's a total of 12 for the complete exersaucer. Not only that but you will need a small philips screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the battery compartment doors on. I would have preferred that each one need two AA batteries. It's a lot of batteries to change out. Even better would be a design that had one large battery compartment on the exersaucer for perhaps 4 D cells and that routed that power to each station and powered the electronics from one power source. This would also be more friendly on the environment. You could use rechargeable batteries more easily then!

Other than the massive battery needs (the electronics do run for a while before needing a battery change) I would say that we are very happy with the exersaucer. The seat spins 360 degrees or locks into position. The legs are adjustable in height and the unit even folds up for more compact storage. And did I mention our little one likes it two.More detail ...

Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Activity Center Splash

Loving the Exersaucer5

We got this for our youngest grandchild so he could be a part of all the activity when they come to visit. Our kids have a similar exersaucer at home that he uses it is just too much to tote back and forth. This has some differnet options it can spin around and rock even the 3 year old wanted a part of it. It was a great success the activiites keep little John busy so even at 7 nmonths he can be a part of it all.
